NASCAR Xfinity Series Hooters 250

With the 2020 NASCAR Xfinity Series heading to Homestead-Miami Speedway, it’s time to take a look at the handful of drivers that are looking like possible winners in this coming weekend’s Hooters 250. Highlighting this fun-filled event will be beloved former NASCAR Series superstar Dale Earnhardt Jr. The 15-time NASCAR Most Popular Driver Award winner will be in the No. 8 JR Motorsports Hellmann’s Chevrolet when this event goes down live on Saturday, June 13 at 3:30 PM ET. Now, let’s find out which drivers are looking good against their value-packed NASCAR odds.

NASCAR Hooters 250

Chase Briscoe +240

Briscoe is sitting atop the NASCAR Xfinity standings with six Top 10 finishes, four Top 5 finishes and two victories at Las Vegas and Darlington.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. +350

Since retiring as a NASCAR Cup Series driver following the 2017 season, Earnhardt has participated in one Xfinity Series race each year with his JR Motorsports operation. He finished fourth at Richmond Raceway in 2018 and fifth at Darlington Raceway last year. This season, he’ll take on the 1.5-mile Homestead track, where he’s made five previous series starts with a best finish of second in 1999.

“I really miss racing. I really miss driving, and it’s getting worse,” Earnhardt said. “I thought as I got out of the car and the further I got from my full-time career, the less that would bother me, but it actually is getting worse for some reason. I really look forward to getting some seat time, smelling the smells and hearing the noises and just enjoying being in the car.”

Justin Allgaier +450

Allgaier is in fourth place in the standings with four Top 10 finishes and a pair of top 5 finishes. Allgaier has a series high, 306 laps led so far this year.

Austin Cindric +700

Cindric is in sixth place in the Xfinity standings with five Top 10 finishes in eight starts and four Top 5 finishes. Cindric is fourth in pals led this year (146).

Noah Gragson +800

Gragson is in second place in the standings with six Top 10 finishes, five Top 5 finishes and two wins in the season-opening race at Daytona and two weeks back at Bristol. Gragson is third in pals led this year (153).

Harrison Burton +1000

Burton is in third place in the Xfinity standings with a stellar eight Top 10 finishes in eight starts, six Top 5 finishes and a victory in the third race of the year in California. Burton is fifth in laps led this year (130).

Ross Chastain +1000

Chastain is in fifth place in the standings with six Top 10 finishes in eight starts and one Top 5 finish, though he also has a pair of DNF’s along the way.

Brandon Jones +1200

Jones is in eighth place in the Xfinity standings with five Top 10 finishes, three Top 5 finishes and a victory in the fourth race of the year at Phoenix.

Justin Haley +2000

Haley is sitting in seventh place in the standings with five Top 10 finishes, three Top 5 finishes and one did not finish.

Riley Herbst +6000

Herbst is sitting in 11th place in the standings with three Top 10 finishes, one top 5 finish and a pair of DNF’s.

Prediction

I’m going with Harrison Burton for the outright win at a value-packed +1000 with prohibitive favorite Chase Briscoe finishing second at +240 and Noah Gragson, for third place at a value-packed +800.
