NCAAF 2020 Season Week 7 SU Picks Expert Analysis

The surprises are coming thick and fast in this college football season, but one thing that has remained constant is the teams at the top of the standings. The top 4 is made up of teams that we have become used to seeing battle for playoff spots over the past few seasons. They are there now, but things will almost certainly change in the coming weeks, making things very tough for the playoff committee. One change is sure to come this weekend, as we have a pair of top 4 teams going head to head, with Georgia and Alabama set to square off in primetime. We will have a SU pick for that one, as well as for a couple of other games in Week 7. Besides these selections, keep an eye out for our ATS and O/U picks, which will be coming your way soon. Let’s jump into action so you can wager on their NCAAF odds.

NCAAF SU Picks Week 7 | College Football Betting

BYU Cougars over Houston Cougars

Given how well the offenses of these two teams have been playing this season, we might well be in for an offensive shootout here. We do not have this game in our O/U selections, but it might well be one to keep in mind when you are putting together your tickets, as we can certainly expect a lot of offense. Given how these two can throw down in attack, the bookies see this one as being rather tight, with BYU in as a modest 3-point favorite. It would not be surprising to see this game come down to whomever has the ball last, but I actually think that BYU will win it in more convincing style than the point spread suggests. I like BYU to pull away and get the win, maintaining their unbeaten start to the season on Friday night.

Auburn Tigers over South Carolina Gamecocks

This season is a strange one in that we are getting a shorter schedule, with some conferences choosing to only play teams from within their own conference. That is the path that the SEC has chosen, creating a rather brutal path to the Conference Championship game and the playoffs. The West is once again being dominated by the Alabama Crimson Tide at 3-0, but the Tigers and the Gamecocks, both of whim are 2-1, are stalking the leaders at the moment. Those two will square off on Saturday, with the winner hoping that the Georgia Bulldogs can do the business against Alabama. Auburn has won 8-straight versus the Gamecocks, and while their offense has struggled this season, I like the Tigers to win again here.

Georgia Bulldogs over Alabama Crimson Tide

Right now, Nick Saban is in a position where he has never lost to a team coached by one of his former assistant coaches. The only one that has ever really come close to achieving that elusive win is Kirby Smart of the Georgia Bulldogs. The law of averages suggests that it has to happen sooner or later, so why not this weekend? You could well suggest that Ole Miss delivered the blueprint for beating Bama last weekend, coming ever so close to springing a major upset before falling apart late in the 4th quarter. The Bulldogs defense is the best in the business and has what it takes to slow down the Tide. Yes, this is a longshot and history seems to dictate that this might be a bad pick, but I am taking a shot and going with Georgia.
