NFL 2021 Regular Season – Week 5 ATS Betting Picks

We went into Week 4 of the season with 5 teams sitting on perfect records. After a wild weekend, that number is now down to 1, with the Arizona Cardinals the only team heading into Week 5 with an unblemished record. That alone should tell you just how unpredictable things have been through the opening month of the season. That unpredictability has played havoc with our selections in the early going. We have yet to hit any of our parlays this season in the NFL, although we have been killing it with our college picks, so hopefully you guys are cashing in on those. Let’s see if we can begin to right the ship this weekend, starting with our NFL Week 5 ATS picks. Let’s jump right into action so you can be all set to bet against the NFL odds.

Week 5 ATS Picks for the 2021 Season | NFL Betting

Green Bay Packers (-3 ½) at Cincinnati Bengals

We have seen a few dark horse teams emerge in the early part of the season, but that is something that is rather common. Maintaining that fast start over the course of a season is always tough, so it will be interesting to see what the 3-1 Cincinnati Bengals do this weekend when they play host to the Green Bay Packers. After losing in Week 1, the Packers have bounced back to win 3-straight, including a win over another AFC North team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, last weekend. The Packers covered in that one and are now 9-4 ATS in their last 13 versus the AFC North. They are also 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Bengals are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 Sunday home games, but I think they are looking at a loss in this one.

New England Patriots (-9) at Houston Texans

When a team decides to roll the dice and start a rookie in the QB spot, they do so knowing that there are going to be some growing pains along the way. It is often unfair to compare these rookies side-by-side, as the talent they are surrounded by usually plays a large part in their success. Mac Jones has some nice pieces to work with in New England, while David Mills is only starting because of injury issues on a team that looks to be sinking like a stone. Jones put in a great display against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday night, and while the Patriots lost, they loom to be heading in the right direction. They are 8-4 ATS in their last 12 versus Houston, while the Texans are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games played in October.

Chicago Bears at Las Vegas Raiders (-4 ½)

There are some very glaring issues with the Chicago Bears this season, yet they have still somehow managed to get out to a 2-2 start. The Raiders, on the other hand, have started very well, but they will be annoyed at losing to the Chargers on Monday night to lose their unbeaten record to start the season. The Bears have gone 4-2 ATS in their last 6 games versus the Raiders, but their recent form is not quite as good, as they are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games on the road. There really is not a lot to like when looking at the Raiders performance against the spread, but I think they are a much better team than the Bears, and I believe that they are more than capable of covering this spread.
