Top 2022 NHL Matches to Must Bet This Weekend: NY Rangers Looking to Maintain 1st Place in the Division

With postponements still happening in the NHL due to COVID, we are seeing some days on the schedule all but wiped out. The good news is that as we head into the weekend, there are plenty of games to choose from, although Friday does serve as one of those quiet days. With more than half of the season now in the books, we have a pretty clear picture of how the playoffs might look when they finally roll around. There are, though, a few teams who have a lot of games in hand, not to mention some that will go through a losing skid between now and the end of the season, so those standings are going to change. Let’s now look ahead to the weekend and pick a few games that we consider to be must-watch and wager against the NHL Betting Odds.

NHL Betting | Top Must Bet Games From Friday to Sunday

Calgary Flames at Carolina Hurricanes – Friday

The Flames are in the midst of a road trip that did not get off to the best start, as they lost 6-2 to the Florida Panthers on Tuesday night. They will play in Tampa Bay on Thursday before making the trip to Carolina to face the Hurricanes. Both teams are sitting in 3rd in their respective divisions, but you have to say that the Flames are perhaps better placed, as they have a ton of games in hand to the teams sitting ahead of them. A very good matchup here.

Toronto Maple Leafs at Colorado Avalanche – Saturday

Heading into the weekend, the Maple Leafs are very much in the hunt for the lead in the Atlantic Division and are currently 3 points out of top spot. They are in a solid run of form at the moment, winning 4 in a row and going 7-2-1 in their last 10. Colorado is slowly but surely creeping into contention for the lead in the Central Division after winning back-to-back games and posting an impressive 8-1-1 record in their last 10 outings.

New York Rangers at Anaheim Ducks – Saturday

One of the best divisional races in the league right now is going on in the Metropolitan Division, where the New York Rangers have once again climbed back on top. They are just 5-4-1 in their last 10 games, but they have also won each of their last 3 games. The Ducks are also in a good battle in the Pacific Division, sitting 2nd there right now, but they can feel the Flames, who have all those games in hand, beginning to close in on them in what is a fun battle for division supremacy.

Dallas Stars at St. Louis Blues – Sunday

It is a slow day for the NHL on Sunday, with just one game on the schedule, but at least it’s a battle between divisional opponents that we get to look forward to. The Dallas Stars are below the playoff line right now, but they are putting up a fight and are currently on a modest 2-game winning streak. The Blues are coming off a loss, but they are also a respectable 7-2-1 in their last 10 games and are just a point out of the top spot in the Central Division.
