We have some semifinal matchups of teams with some contrasting styles. This is the best time of the year if you’re a fan of hockey and the NHL. Let’s take a look at the odds for some of the top teams to win the Stanley Cup so you can continue betting against the Stanley Cup Odds.

Who Will Hoist Lord Stanley’s Cup? | NHL Playoffs Betting

Colorado Avalanche +180

The Avalanche are the favorites to win the Stanley Cup. After last year’s flop in the playoffs, they’re on a mission to win the cup. They swept Nashville in the first round, and now own a 1-0 lead in their series with the St. Louis Blues. Cale Makar and Nathan MacKinnon have been an unstoppable duo throughout the playoffs. We’ll see if they can continue on with their dominant ways.

Carolina Hurricanes +450

The Panthers were the best defensive team in the league this season. They were just behind the Florida Panthers for the top spot in the Eastern Conference. The Rangers will be a tough matchup for them, but we think they can handle it. A matchup between the Hurricanes and either the Lighting or Panthers would be fun to watch.

Calgary Flames  +500

The Flames were the second-best team out West behind the Avalanche. The Flames were a little lackluster in their first round matchup with Dallas, as it took them seven games to ouster the Stars. The Flames were one of the best defensive teams in the league throughout the regular season. They gave up six goals in their win over Edmonton in Game 1 of their series. However, they scored nine goals, so that’s a bonus.

Florida Panthers +550

This team has yet to hit their stride in the playoffs. Their series with Washington wasn’t near as easy as many thought it would be. They also lost Game 1 of their semifinal series to the Lightning. The President’s Cup winners have the best offense in hockey, and they need to start playing better on that end, and making less defensive mistakes, or they’ll be done in this round.

Tampa Bay Lightning +550

The Lightning are on a quest to win the Stanley Cup for the third straight year. They beat Toronto in seven games in the first round, and currently hold a 1-0 lead over the Florida Panthers in their second round series. The Lightning have the best goalie in the league, and until someone can crack that wall, they’re going to be a top contender.

New York Rangers +2000

After their overtime victory in Game 7 of the first round, the Rangers had the momentum heading into Game 1 of their series with the Hurricanes. The Rangers took the Hurricanes into overtime in Game 1, but couldn’t get the big goal when they needed it. We’ll see if their offense can score on the vaunted defense of Carolina.
