The Bulldogs and the Bears
Analysis: Gonzaga (20-0) and Baylor (17-0) have been ranked first and second in the national polls almost all season long. The Bulldogs were a +275 favorite a week ago, but are now at +300 like the Bears. Gonzaga has had two of it past four games postponed but routed San Francisco 100-61 on Saturday. Baylor hasn’t been in action since beating No. 6 Texas 83-69 on Feb. 2.
The Bears had already postponed two games, at home against TCU this past Saturday and on the road at Oklahoma this week before announcing they would also postponing their next three games: vs. Texas Tech on Feb. 13, at West Virginia on Feb. 15 and vs. West Virginia on Feb. 18. The Zags rank first in scoring (93.1 ppg) and first in field goal shooting percentage (55.1%). Baylor ranks fourth in scoring (87.0 ppg) and an equally impressive 25th in points allowed (62.8 ppg).

No. 3 Michigan (14-1) improved from +900 a week ago to +700 after beating No. 21 Wisconsin 67-59 on Sunday. No. 5 Villanova (13-3) beat St. Joe’s by 20, but then fell to No. 19 Marquette 85-68 on Saturday to see its national rankings drop five spots to No. 10. Still, Villanova has gone from a +1400 pick to win it all to +1100. Houston (17-2) moved up from eighth to sixth in the national rankings after beating South Florida and having its Sunday matchup against Memphis postponed. Houston moved from a +200 pick to win the national championship to +1400. The Cougars rank a stupendous second nationally in points allowed (57.3 ppg).
No. 4 Ohio State (17-4) has gone from a whopping +2800 pick a week ago to +1400 after getting past Indiana 78-59 on Saturday.
Illinois (14-5) is up one spot to No. 5 this week after getting past Nebraska in overtime on Friday night thanks to Ayo Dosunmu’s heroics. The Fighting Illini’ remain a +1800 pick.
No. 11 Iowa (15-6) fell from a +1500 to its current +1800 despite beating Rutgers 79-66 on Wednesday and Michigan State 88-58 on Saturday. No. 12 Texas went from a +1500 pick to win it all to +1400 after beating K-State 80-77 on Tuesday and TCU 70-55 on Saturday.
No. 16 Florida State (11-3) is up one spot in the national rankings and has gone from +2400 to +1600 after smacking Virginia senseless on Monday night. No. 8 Alabama (17-5) has gone from +1600 to +2000 while moving up three spots in the national rankings after throttling Georgia 115-82 on Saturday.
No. 15 Texas Tech (14-6) has move from +2500 to +2000 despite dropping a whopping spots in the national rankings after losing to West Virginia 82-71 on Tuesday night. No. 7 Virginia (15-3) has improved from +2400 to +2000 while moving up two spots in the national rankings despite getting blown out 81-60 on Monday night against Florida State.
No. 21 Wisconsin (15-7) went from +2200 to +2000 despite losing to Michigan over the weekend. Creighton (16-5) is up five spots to No. 14 after beating Villanova this past weekend. The Blue Jays have gone from +3000 to +2200.
