In MMA, you have events that come in all shapes and sizes. There can be no denying that the UFC is at the top of the heap, but there are some fantastic organizations sitting below them. Bellator is arguably the one that is the most recognizable outside of the UFC, perhaps because we often see fighters moving between those two organizations. We have a smaller main card coming from Bellator this weekend, with just 4 fights on the main card. While it may be smaller in terms of the number of fights, they all look very competitive, plus we have a title fight sitting as the headliner. Let’s now take a moment to break down each of those fights to see if we can pick some winners so you can place your bets against the Bellator odds.

Johnny Eblen (-1360) Vs Collin Huckbody (+840)
The main card begins with a Welterweight bout that the bookies have as potentially a lopsided affair. Eblen comes into this one with a perfect record, having won each of his first 9 fights. There seems to be no middle ground with Eblen, as he either wins in the opening round, which he has done 4 times, or is forced to get the win by decision. Huckbody is 10-3, but he is on a very solid run right now, winning 7 of his last 10 fights. He does have finishing power in his arsenal, so still dangerous. I think this one might go the distance, but I am taking Eblen to win.
Josh Hill (-110) Vs Jared Scoggins (-110)
While the first fight might be listed as potentially one-sided, this Bantamweight bout is about as evenly matched as it gets. Hill will be looking to bounce back after losing his last fight, taking his record to 20-4 in the process. That was his first loss under the Bellator banner, where he is now 2-1. Scoggins is 10-1 and has recovered nicely from his lone defeat, reeling off 5 in a row, with all but 1 of those fights going the distance. This really is a coin flip type of fight that could do either way. A close one, but I am taking Hill to get the decision.
Emmanuel Sanchez (-195) Vs Jeremy Kennedy (+265)
The Featherweights step into the octagon next for a fight that serves at the co-main event of the evening. Both of these fighters are looking for a return to form in this one. Sanchez comes in with a 20-6 record, but he has had a tough time of it of late, losing each of his last 2 fights. Kennedy is coming in on the heels of a loss and now has just 1 win in his last 3, with the other bout ending in a NO Contest. I like Sanchez to snap out of his skid, but he might need to go the distance to do it.
Sergio Pettis (+145) Vs Kyoji Horiguchi (-170)
The final event of the night is the headliner for a reason, as it is for the Bantamweight title, with Pettis looking to defend his belt. Pettis has certainly made an impact since moving over to Bellator from the UFC, winning all 3 of his fights and nabbing the belt in the process. He is in for a tough one here, though, as Horiguchi comes in with an impressive 29-3 mark, with most of those wins coming during his time with RIZIN. I think Horiguchi might land with a splash and steal the title.
