As you might expect from the opening weekend of the NASCAR season, there is a ton of stuff going on over all 3 days. That includes the Xfinity Series kicking off with the Beef. It’s What’s for Dinner 300 on Saturday afternoon. We will be all over the NASCAR races this season as we look to see who will be crowned champions of all three series when it’s all said and done. We have previews for all the Daytona action this coming weekend, but we are going to get the ball rolling here with the Xfinity Series. Daniel Hemric comes into the new season as the defending champion, but he is going to have some serious competition coming after him. Let’s now take a moment to look at some drivers who might make a winning start on Saturday so you can bet against their NASCAR Xfinity Series odds.
NASCAR Xfinity Series Betting Preview for Daytona 300 Race
Daniel Hemric
Hemric arrived on the scene in the Xfinity Series back in 2017 and finished in the top 4 in each of his first 2 seasons. He then went part-time in the Xfinity Series for a couple of seasons before returning for the entire 2021 season. That proved to be an excellent decision, as he drove away with the Championship when all was said and done. While Hemric was a consistent performer throughout the entire season last year, he saved the best for last, picking up his first win of the season in the final race. His best finish at Daytona came last year, where he finished 9th.
Austin Cindric
The big breakthrough season for Cindric came in 2020, when he finished the season as the Xfinity Series champion. He went into last year as one of the favorites to win it all again and he came as close as it gets without actually doing so. He went on a run where he had no less than 4 2nd place finishes in the final 5 races of the season, but it was his inability to get that crucial win in the final week that cost him a shot at the repeat. He will almost certainly be among the favorites to be challenging again this season. He won the opening race at Daytona last year, so why not again in 2022.
Noah Gragson
Gragson joined the Xfinity Series as a full-time driver back in 2019 and has become progressively better with each passing year. He had his best season in 2021, making it to the final race of the season with a shot at winning it all, only to come up a little short and finish 3rd overall. He had 3 wins overall last season, including a big win in the penultimate race of the season. His best run at Daytona came in 2020, when he won the opening race if the season.
AJ Allmendinger
A veteran in the world of NASCAR, Allmendinger shifted his attention fully to the Xfinity Series last season and it almost paid off in a big way. Allmendinger came up a little short in his quest for a title, coming in 4th overall in the driver standings. He had 4 total wins in the 2021 season, and while he did not win at Daytona, he did land in the top 5. A driver who is consistently in the mix, Allmendinger has to be considered a threat this weekend.
