The playoffs are upon us, and the NFC playoff field is nearly set. There are a couple of games in Week 18 that will impact the NFC playoff picture, but for the most part, the field is set. Let’s take a look at some of the favorites to represent the NFC in the upcoming Super Bowl so you can bet against the NFC Conference Championship odds.
NFC Conference Championship Preview | NFL Betting
Green Bay Packers +136
Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers currently have the best record in the league and have clinched home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. Rodgers and the offense have had a great season. In his last 15 games, Rodgers has thrown just two interceptions. Davante Adams is a monster, and the rest of the receiving corps have complimented him well. Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon have been huge in the running game, and have made Green Bay’s offense that much better.
Defensively, the Packers have had some issues, but the defense hasn’t given up too many big plays. As long as they keep Rodgers in the game, the Packers have a great shot at representing the NFC in the Super Bowl.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers +310
Any time that you have Tom Brady, you have a great shot at winning. Even at 44 years of age, Brady looks like one of the league’s best quarterbacks. He has been dealt some tough blows lately, as Chris Godwin tore his ACL and is out for the year, and Antonio Brown left the team. Brady will rely heavily on Mike Evans, Rob Gronkowski, and the rest of his receiving crew.
Leonard Fournette has been hurt, but Ronald Jones has done a great job of filling in. If Fournette gets healthy, they’ll have a good rushing duo.
Defensively, the Buccaneers have the ability to shut down the run, and they can make things miserable for the other team’s quarterback. We’ll see if they can go on a defensive run as they did in last season’s playoffs.
Los Angeles Rams +370
Now that the Rams have Matthew Stafford, they feel like they have the quarterback that can take them to the Super Bowl. Stafford has had a very nice season for the Rams. The Stafford to Cooper Kupp connection has been huge this season, as Kupp has had a season for the ages. Los Angeles hasn’t run the ball exceptionally well, but they’ve run it well enough to keep the defense honest.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Rams have an all-star unit. At times they have struggled, but when you have Aaron Donald, Von Miller, and Jalen Ramsey, you have three All Pros that can make plays. We’ll see if they can step things up in the postseason.
Dallas Cowboys +500
Many people think that the Cowboys could be the team to beat in the NFC. Their running game has been lacking, and the loss of Michael Gallup for the year could really hurt the offense. Ever since Dak Prescott missed some time due to injury, the offense just hasn’t looked the same. We’ll see if Dallas can get back to where they were early in the season come playoff time.
Defensively, Dallas has been much better than expected, but they still give up too many yards. If the defense can do its part, Dallas has what it takes to make a deep playoff run.
