Another week of NHL action is upon us as we move ever closer to the midway point of the season. Given the number of games postponed due to the pandemic, some teams are closer to the halfway point than others, but they are all slowly but surely getting there. Trying to pick out one team as a potential Stanley Cup winner is hard at the moment, as all of the divisions are very competitive. There are 4 teams, all in the Eastern Conference, who have hit the 50-point mark on the season, but again, there are also a handful of teams with a ton of games in hand, so that top group may not necessarily be the cream of the crop overall. Let’s now look ahead at the coming week and pick out 4 games we really like so you can make your bets against their NHL Betting Odds.
NHL Betting | Top Must Bet Games From Monday to Thursday
Boston Bruins at Washington Capitals – Monday
The Bruins are currently sitting down in 4th in the Atlantic Division, but they are also one of the teams who have a lot of games to catch up on. Boston has gone 6-3-1 in their last 10 games and will be looking to take advantage of a Washington Capitals team headed in the wring direction. The Capitals come into this week on a 3-game losing skid and a run that has seen them go 4-3-3 in their last 10 games. This will be the first meeting for these teams this season.
Colorado Avalanche at Nashville Predators – Tuesday
The battle for the top spot in the Central Division is fierce, and with these teams occupying 2 of the top 3 spots, you get an idea of just how big this game is. The Avalanche have won 4 in a row coming into this week and have 5 games in hand to the Predators, who they trail by 4 points. Nashville is at the top of the division for now and are incredibly hot, winning 4 in a row and going 8-1-1 in their last 10 games. This looks to be one of the best games of the week.
Toronto Maple Leafs at Arizona Coyotes – Wednesday
It is a quiet schedule on Wednesday, with just 3 games set to go. There aren’t really any that jump off the page, but this one could prove to be very interesting. You would automatically pick the Maple Leafs to win this one, but it is never easy for any team to win on the road. The Maple Leafs have been decent against teams from the Central Division this season, going 4-1-2 in those outings. On the flipside, the Coyotes are 1-3-1 versus teams from the Atlantic Division.
Pittsburgh Penguins at LA Kings – Thursday
With a full slate of games on Thursday, picking one was tough, but this is the game that stands out for me. The Penguins closed out last week with a loss, but they were on a stellar run prior to that, going 9-1-0 in their last 10 games. The Kings are looking to stay close to the hunt for the top 3 in the Pacific Division and are doing a good job, going 6-3-1 in their last 10 games. I love these non-conference games where teams rarely play one another.
