ATP 2022 Dubai Tennis Championships Betting Favorites and Analysis

This week there are a few key ATP 500 events going on around the country. One of the most important events is the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championship. It has a loaded field and will play a part in determining the next #1 player in the world.

There are five things that we are keeping a close eye on this week in Dubai so you can bet against the ATP Betting Odds. Read on to find out what those five things are.

2022 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships Expert Analysis | Tennis Betting

Novak Djokovic Returns

World No. 1 When Djokovic competes in the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships for the first time this season, he will be making his season debut. The Serbian begins against #NextGenATP Italian Lorenzo Musetti, who has won the ATP 500 tournament five times (2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2015).

It’s a crucial week in his battle with Medvedev for the top place in the ATP Rankings. If Medvedev wins the Acapulco championship, he will become World No. 1 for the first time.

With a deep run in Dubai, Djokovic can put pressure on Medvedev. Djokovic can’t control what Medvedev does in the other event, but he can certainly ensure that his ascension to the top is not easy.

Felix Auger-Aliassime and Denis Shapovalov are Canadian Threats

Auger-Aliassime and Shapovalov have had excellent beginnings to the season, assisting Canada in winning the ATP Cup in Sydney and Auger-Aliassime winning his first tour-level championship in Rotterdam.

Last year, Shapovalov reached the semi-finals in Dubai, and he’ll face Marton Fucsovics in the first round of the 2022 tournament, hoping to lay the stage for another deep run.

The Hungarian won their only prior meeting at the 2020 Australian Open in four sets. Auger-Aliassime will make his Dubai debut in the first round, where he will face Nikoloz Basilashvili, a Doha finalist.

Will Andrey Rublev be able to keep his form?

Rublev enters Dubai fresh off a title-winning run in Marseille. In 2021, the Russian went to the semi-finals in Dubai after reaching the last four in Rotterdam earlier this month.

In his first encounter, the second seed takes against Daniel Evans of the United Kingdom.

Hubert Hurkacz and Jannik Sinner Aim For First Title In 2022

Hurkacz and Sinner both had outstanding seasons in 2021, earning a combined seven tour-level titles. They’re both still looking for their first titles in 2022, and they’re hoping to win in Dubai.

Sinner will face fourth seed Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, while Hurkacz will face Montpellier champion Alexander Bublik.

Top Seeds In Doubles are Loaded

In Dubai, Nikola Mektic and Mate Pavic will continue their quest for their first championship of the season as the top seeds. Rajeev Ram and Joe Sailsbury, an American-British duo, are the second seeds, followed by John Peers and Filip Polasek. The fourth seeds are Tim Puetz and Michael Venus.

With this field of doubles, it should be a very good tournament as any of these duos have the ability to win the event. Look for this to be a very competitive session for these doubles players.
