NASCAR 2022 Cup Series: Coca-Cola 600 Betting Favorites & Odds Analysis

While we had some Cup Series action last weekend, it was something of a rest day in terms of the push for the playoffs. The All-Star Race in Texas was a fun event and an opportunity for all the drivers to races without the pressure that comes with trying to pick up valuable points and make it into the playoffs. It’s back to business as usual this weekend, with the Cup Series heading to Charlotte for the Coca-Cola 600, which has become one of the biggest races on the NASCAR calendar. Now that we are into the second half of the season, the pressure ramps up a little, but we have a few drivers who look to be a good bet this weekend. Let’s take a look at some of the favorites so you can get all set to place your bets against the NASAR Odds.

NASCAR Cup Series Betting Preview for Coca-Cola 600 Race

Kyle Larson (+590)

The defending Cup Series champion is discovering that repeating as the champ is not entirely easy. It has been a bit of an up and down season for Larson to this point, with just 1 win under his belt. The thing to remember is that he only had 1 win at this stage in 2021 before going on an absolute tear in the second half of the season. Prior to the All-Star Race last weekend, Larson delivered a solid performance in Kansas, finishing 2nd in that race. May that be a sign that he is ready to go on another run? That turnaround in 2021 began in Charlotte with a win in this race, followed by another Charlotte win in the playoffs.

Kyle Busch (+630)

Busch won the Cup Series in 2019, but he has not been at his best since then, failing to make it to the final four in each of the last 2 seasons. There is still a lot of racing to come, but there are signs that Busch is ready to challenge again, as he is currently sitting in 3rd in the driver standings. Busch has 1 win on the season, but he looks set to potentially add to that this weekend. He had 2 very good runs at Charlotte last season, finishing 3rd and 4th, respectively.

Chase Elliott (+680)

We are 13 races into the Cup Series season, and it is Elliott who is currently sitting atop the driver standings, 52 points ahead of the next driver. It has been a typical season for Elliott, who always seems to find a way to sneak into the top 10 and pick up valuable points. That said, he does have 1 win on the season, but he will be looking to bounce back after a poor showing in Kansas in the last race. Elliott finished 2nd in this race last season and had a win at Charlotte the year prior, so definitely one to watch this weekend.

Martin Truex Jr. (+700)

Between 2-17 and 2019, Truex Jr won a Cup Series title and finished 2nd overall in 2 other years. After a bit of a down year in 2020, he bounced back with another 2nd place finish in 2021. He is a little off the pace this season, sitting in 6th overall, but also close enough to the top that he looks like a driver set to challenge for another title. He is still looking for his first win of the season, and after a pair of poor runs in Charlotte last year, I think we might need to wait another week for that first win.
