A battle in the NFC West takes place in the regular-season finale when the Seattle Seahawks (6-10) square off against the Arizona Cardinals (11-5). Both teams grabbed victories last week with the Seahawks destroying the Lions 51-29, while the Cardinals beat the Cowboys on the road 25-22.
The Arizona Cardinals will be looking to gain momentum in the playoffs after breaking their three-game skid. Meanwhile, the Seahawks are playing for pride and potentially one last game with Russell Wilson and Pete Carroll. That being said, let’s dive into this matchup and see how these rivals match up so you can make your bets against their NFL odds.

Seahawks Could be Playing One Last Game in the Pete Caroll and Russell Wilson Era
This offseason will be eventful for the Seahawks as they face an uncertain future with their head coach and starting quarterback. The rise of the NFC West plays a huge factor in a potential rebuild and Seattle will have their work cut out for them moving forward.
Be that as it may, the Seahawks come into their matchup against the Cardinals with arguably their best outing of the year. The offense put the team on their back as Russell Wilson finished with his second four-touchdown game of the season, while D.K. Metcalf reeled in three touchdown catches. Additionally, the Seahawks got another huge game out of running back Rashaad Penny, who gained his third 130+ rushing game in his last four contests including adding two scores.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Seahawks have been pretty miserable all year and they had another tough outing conceding 357 yards and 29 points against the Lions and backup quarterback Tim Boyle. Despite this, they were able to pick up three interceptions on the night but still rank 30th in total yards allowed 383.8.
Cardinals Look to Carry Momentum into Playoffs
The Cardinals finally got back on track and did it in an impressive fashion as they took down one of the NFC’s best in the Dallas Cowboys. The Arizona Cardinals have clinched a playoff berth and will be playing in the wild card round and hope to continue their momentum.
The Cardinals are in a good position as they snapped their three-game losing streak and picked up their eighth win on the road. The offense bounced back masterfully as Kyler Murray threw his first multi-touchdown game in four weeks, while the offense added almost 400 yards and 25 points.
Defensively, Arizona continues to impress as they held the number seven rushing offense to 45 total yards including holding Zeke Elliot to just 16 yards on nine carries. In addition, the Cardinals added a sack and a forced fumble bringing their takeaway total to 25 on the year. Overall, Arizona ranks tenth in total defense (322.9) and are conceding only 20.5 points per game.

The Arizona Cardinals are playing in week 18 with the possibility of winning the NFC West and should be playing all out to get the best possible seed they can. They will also get some help back on the offensive line which should give Kyler Murray more time in the pocket and boost the running game. The only problem is they’re playing at home.
The Cardinals are 2-5 ATS as the home team this year and 4-6 as the favorite. The Seahawks are coming off their best outing of the year and Russell Wilson will be playing his best game as he heads into the offseason with possible plans of playing elsewhere. That being said, the Cardinals are already in the playoffs and I think they prefer to play on the road anyways. Back the Seahawks here.
