NFL 2021 Season: Lions at Seattle Seahawks Betting Prediction & Pick

It is Week 17 in the NFL season, and both of the teams in our matchup have been eliminated from playoff contention. It has been a season to forget for the Lions and Seahawks but much still to figure out and prove in the final two games. This game is meaningful to both teams as they wind down their seasons.

The Lions’ season has not been great, to say the least. This season could have been much different for them if a few things went their way.

A couple of late, brutal losses just felt like gut punch after gut punch. A win this week would go a long way for the Lions to look at next season.

The Seahawks are preparing for a long offseason. This could be the last few games without Russell Wilson if they choose to trade him. The Seahawks may be looking at the time to rebuild their franchise or make a last-ditch effort with their franchise quarterback. With all that in mind, it’s time to take a closer look at both teams and how they arrive to this Lions vs Seahawks matchup so you can bet against their NFL odds.

NFL Betting Preview for New York Giants vs Chicago Bears

Detroit Lions Notes

While it may not look pretty, the Lions season has not been as bad as it seems. At 2-12-1, their season may not be immensely better, but many things have gone against them this season.

They hung tough Week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers in a tough home loss, 41-33. In Week 2, they led the Packers at half but failed to score in the second half, ultimately losing that game. Then in Week 3, an NFL record kick gave them their third loss to the Ravens

It has been like that all year for the Lions. Losing on game-winning field goals, missing game-winning field goals, and everything that seems to go wrong did. Despite everything going against them, they have been resilient enough to win two games against the Vikings and the Cardinals.

A win this week would be a huge boost for Dan Campbell and company. Slowly it seems that a culture is starting to build in Detroit. Campbell is slowly getting the respect of his locker room which is a huge plus for him.

Do not be surprised to see the Lions nip the Seahawks this week.

Seattle Seahawks Notes

At 5-10 on the season, this has been one of the more miserable seasons for the Seahawks in a long time. We are seeing that Russell Wilson is still playing, but he is still not 100% healthy. With back-to-back losses to the Rams and Bears, the Seahawks are reeling for next season.

Third-string quarterback, Nick Foles, led the Bears to a win last week in a snowy game in Seattle. Seattle led 17-7 at the half, but a late fourth-quarter run by the Bears gave them the win. Wilson threw for 181 yards and two touchdowns in the tough conditions.

The Seahawks finish with the Lions and the Cardinals in their last two games. Both teams will be hungry for a win against them, especially their division rivals. Seattle has to plan for next season and decide what avenue they will take with their franchise quarterback.
