Why bet on Jacksonville versus Tennessee?

Jacksonville is a terrible football team, but once in a while the Jags come up with a brilliant performance. Trevor Lawrence and his mates have won 2 games this season. The first was a sweet 23-20 win against the Miami Dolphins. The second win was a 9-6 defensive struggle against the Buffalo Bills. The victories show that, at times, Jacksonville can hang with much better teams.

Why bet on Tennessee versus Jacksonville?

Since losing Derrick Henry to a season ending injury, the Titans have struggled. But even though they’ve struggled, Tennessee remains the second seed in the deep AFC. On offense, the Titans have talent for days while the defense is very good against the rush. Tennessee has lost their last couple. So there’s motivation on the Tennessee side to grab a big win.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans Final Betting Prediction

The Titans head into this off a bye. Based on a strong trend, Tennessee should blow out the Jaguars on Sunday.

But after watching the Titans lose 13-22 to the already eliminated Houston Texans, and then folding in the second half against the Patriots in a 36-13 loss, it’s apparent that Tennessee isn’t nearly as good as the record indicates.

The Titans have a decent offense. The defense is a mess. Yes, the D allows less than 100 yards rushing per game, but that’s only because opponents average 256.3 passing yards per.

Trevor Lawrence hasn’t had a great rookie season. But there has been some bright moments like when he threw for over 300 yards against the Dolphins.

Lawrence’s state line in the first matchup, a 37-19 Titans’ victory, impresses. The Jaguars quarterback completed over 69% of his passes for 273 yards, a TD and a pick.

Henry rushed for 130 yards and scored 3 TDs in that game. He won’t be on the field this Sunday. Without Henry, the Titans will find it difficult to pull away. Jacksonville covers.
