We have another big MMA night in Sin City this weekend, with UFC Vegas 24 set to go on Saturday night. It’s a jam-packed main card with no less than 6 fights on the bill. If you are interested in watching the prelims before we get to the main card, then be sure to check them out on ESPN+. For the purposes of this piece, though, we are focusing solely on the 6 main card fights. Let’s get to those now, with UFC odds and predictions for each.
MMA Betting Preview for UFC Fight Night: Hall Vs Strickland
Alexandre Pantoja (-180) Vs Brandon Royval (+150)
The opening fights on the main card are often reserved for fighters in the early stages of their pro careers, but this Flyweight bout features a pair of experienced fighters. Pantoja comes in with a 23-5 record, but he has been up and down of late, going 3-2 in his last 5 fights. Royval saw a 4-fight win streak come to an end with a loss last time out, dropping him to 12-5. I like this fight to go the full 3 rounds, with Pantoja getting the decision.
Vinc Pichel (-115) Vs Austin Hubbard (-115)
The odds tell you all you need to know about this Lightweight bout, which is that it is about as evenly matched as it gets. Pichel is 13-2 overall and has bounced back nicely from a recent loss, winning each of his last 2 fights. Hubbard has been a little inconsistent of late and is struggling to deliver back-to-back wins, going 3-2 in his last 5. I think that inconsistency might hurt him here, so I am taking Pichel by decision.
Trevin Jones Vs Saidyokub Kakhramonov
Keep an eye on the odds for this one, as Kakhramonov has just been announced as a replacement for Mana Martinez, who was forced to withdraw. Jones comes in with a 13-6 record and has now gone unbeaten in his last 4, although one of those was a No Contest. This will be the first appearance under the UFC banner for Kakhramonov, who has an 8-2 record as a pro. This is a bit of a step up for him, though, so expect Jones to get the win.
Chase Sherman (-195) Vs Parker Porter (+160)
It is the big boys who step into the octagon next for what promises to be a bruising Heavyweight bout. Sherman saw an impressive 4-fight win streak come to an end last time out, dropping his career record to 15-7. On the flipside, Porter seems to be rounding into a good run of form, as he comes in off a win in his last bout, which means 3 victories in his last 4. I do not see this one going the distance and have Sherman winning by KO.
Clay Guida (+130) Vs Mark O. Madsen (-160)
The co-main event of the night is a Lightweight bout that features one fighter trying to maintain an unbeaten professional record. Guida is an MMA veteran who comes into this one with a 36-20 record, but he has struggled of late, losing 3 of his last 5. Madsen, on the other hand, is off to a flying start in his career, winning each of his first 10 fights. He already has 2 wins under the UFC banner and should make it 3 in this one.
Jared Cannonier (-150) Vs Kelvin Gastelum (+120)
The main event of the night is a fabulous looking Middleweight bout that features a pair of fighters trying to claw their way back towards being title contenders. Cannonier is ranked #5 in the division right now, but with 2 losses in his last 5, he is heading in the wrong direction. It is even worse for #10 ranked Gastelum, who has seen things go off the rails with 4 defeats in his last 5 fights. This is a prime opportunity for Cannonier to get back to winning.
