PGA Tour 2022 Masters Odds Favorites and Betting Analysis Update

We are through two days at Augusta National, and it is set to be a great week already. Many players met with the media today, and we heard from Tiger Woods, who is expecting to play this week. Not only is Woods expecting to play, he is expecting to compete and win.

Hideki Matsuyama is set to host the champions’ dinner tonight, and former champions will meet together to enjoy the night before the week gets out of control.

When looking at the odds, the defending champion is further down than you might expect. Let’s take a look at the current Masters Betting Odds and look ahead at who might win the green jacket this week.

The Masters Tournament Updated Field Odds | PGA Tour Betting

Jon Rahm +1000

The odds have changed for Jon Rahm, but he still sits at the top of the odds board with +1000 odds. Coming into the week, Rahm had +900 odds. The former #1 golfer in the world is looking to regain that #1 spot with a win this week at Augusta National.

This would be the second major victory for Rahm, and he would be the third Spaniard to win a green jacket. There is a lot at stake this week for Rahm, and many eyes will be on him.

Scottie Scheffler +1200

Scottie Scheffler has burst onto the scene this year on the PGA Tour. A guy who was selected to the U.S. Ryder Cup team as a Captain’s pick has dominated early this season with three victories early in the season.

Coming off a long week at the WGC Dell Technologies, which resulted in a victory, Scheffler moved into the #1 spot in the world golf rankings.

While he may be a hot pick this week, it may be best to stay away from Scheffler. While he did get a week of rest last week, transitioning from match play to stroke play can be very difficult, and that does not even include the fact of how much golf Scheffler played in that week.

Justin Thomas +1200

Justin Thomas shares the second-best odds with Scheffler at +1200. Thomas has played in seven events this season with four top 10 finishes.

His last performance was at the match play tournament, where he finished tied for 35th. Thomas is currently ranked seventh in the world.

This will be his seventh appearance at The Masters, coming off a tie for the 21st place finish last season. His best finish in this tournament is the fourth-place finish in 2020.

At 28 years old, Thomas is looking for his second major championship and his first win since The Players Championship last season.

Jordan Spieth +2200

The former champion is back and looking to add to his illustrious resume already. Spieth would be a great pick this week to win The Masters because he plays so well at Augusta National. Last year, Spieth finished in third place, making a late run to be in contention on Sunday.

+2200 odds is a great grab for someone that plays well at Augusta National. Augusta National is a course that you do not have to overpower to win at.

If a player can strategize his way around the course, there is no reason they cannot walk out a winner on Sunday. Spieth could be that guy to plot himself around a golf course.

Patrick Cantlay +2500

Talking about a player who is waiting for a big breakthrough performance, Patrick Cantlay is going to win a major championship very soon.

Cantlay had a very good year last season, one which included two victories. This season he has played in seven events and has four top 10 finishes, including a second-place finish.

Cantlay is a player who has come close to winning majors but cannot break through the barrier of players in front of him. Now may be the year that Cantlay can win it all at Augusta National.
